Promotion to Vice Minister of the Court of Imperial Entertainments (Guanglu shaoqing 光祿少卿) in Zhengde 16 because he understand the calendrical system (lifa 曆法). He was in charge of matters relating to the Directorate of Astronomy (Qintianjian 欽天監)

Author of a memorial discussing the origin of the calendar (beginning with the Yellow Emperor), mentioning the various reforms that were done to it in the past (presented in Jiajing 2).

Appearance of name under Yue Hu 樂頀 in Chou ren zhuan, i.e. they are included in the same biography.
